The exhibition, Tierra Firme, presents the work of Marian Edwards.
In 2006 she was faced with a major loss of sight which devastated her life as an artist. Her journey back to a way of ‘seeing’ through drawing is documented here in a series of drawings made, over several years, at the same location in the north east of Spain.
She speaks of the process of drawing circumventing her sight loss;
“Returning to the same spot in Spain allowed me to come back again and again to the same subject and through over 40 drawings, to rebuild much of what I had lost”.
