Faye Claridge will bring an exhibition of her Village Green Screen project to Hereford Museum & Art Gallery for two weeks this February, examining the controversial use of face paint to create the distinctive Border Morris dance ‘blackface’ style. The project, commissioned by Meadow Arts, began life at the Shrewsbury Folk Festival last summer and will be shown as a work in progress, designed to gather views on different aspects of the debate from visitors to the pop-up Astroturf ‘green screen’ booth and online, through social media.

Open Tuesday – Saturday 10 am – 4 pm.
